10. The Columbia Museum of Art- At the outset it may seem like just another modern art museum, but it’s much more than that. Treasures such as Boticelli’s Nativity have been donated to this museum by the Samuel H. Kress Foundation. The venue is home to the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission Headquarters, a huge Environment Education Center and Exhibit Hall, as well as a modern meeting and conference center. Additionally, you will find a massive observation deck, several miles of bicycling, horse riding and hiking trails here. Many people participate in kayaking in the river’s peaceful waters.
