Hurricane Irma

We would like to urge everyone to stay prepared and updated about Hurricane Irma. While we may not be receiving the brunt of the storm here in Columbia, we still need to be prepared for inclement weather.

If you have a garage try to park your vehicle inside to avoid as much damage as possible from high winds, debris, and water. If you cannot get your vehicle inside try your best to keep the vehicle out of the direct line of trees, telephone poles, and other large objects that could cause serious damage.

As for keeping you and your families safe, make sure to take heed of warnings and be prepared for the weather. You likely have heard that President Trump declared an emergency for South Carolina but Gov. McMaster hasn't declared an evacuation yet.

He did say that he expects to issue an evacuation effective 10 a.m. Saturday morning, in which case Interstate 26 lanes will be reversed between Charleston and Columbia. Be mindful of the news and stay updated on the situation, above all stay safe and protected.
