Honda Shows Off 2012 CR-V in Japan

What's in store for the Honda CR-V going into the 2012 model year? Quite a bit, and we here at Midlands Honda couldn't be more excited! The current 2011 Honda CR-V is one impressive ride, and it's hard to imagine that anything could really be done to improve upon it. But, if one company knows how to push automotive perfection to the next level, it's Honda.

To prove this notion correct, Honda recently gave the public a sneak peak at the 2012 CR-V in Japan, and next year's model is looking quite good. First of all, the redesigned crossover features two trim levels. The first features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, which rocks 150-horsepower and it attached to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). What makes this variant so impressive is the fact that is can travel at a rate of 33.9 mpg highway. Moving up to the next trim lowers the mileage to around 27.3 mpg highway, but it increases its power to a 190-hosepower, 2.4-liter engine with AWD.

The 2012 model is expected to arrive at dealerships later this month, and if you're interested, we highly suggest arranging a test drive as soon as possible. This can easily be done by contacting us online or by phone at (888) 809-0110. Of course, you can also just stop in and see us at 124 Killian Commons Parkway Columbia, SC 29203.

We still realize, however, that some of you may be wondering what exactly has changed in the 2012 CR-V since its days as a concept. The vehicle has been featured at numerous auto shows, and it has looked better each time. Specifically, though, the vehicle's grille now cuts into the lights, and the chrome slits appear to have been blacked out. Other than that, every bit of the redesign that Honda has been touting for the last several months appears to be in place.

Of course, we also realize that many of you out there are likely interested in the other new Honda models that we carry as well. That's why we're on hand to answer questions about models like the Honda Ridgeline, CR-Z, and Civic Hybrid, or any of the used Honda models that we carry in our greater lineup of used cars. So, what are you waiting for?
